Choosing the Right Bluetooth Speaker

By Xuxzuxx · March 15, 2025 · 3 min read

The right Bluetooth speaker makes a real difference in your daily listening. Here is how to choose correctly.

Check the output power

For a desk or small room, 10 to 20 watts is plenty. For larger spaces, look for 30 watts or more. Higher wattage means louder volume without distortion, not necessarily better sound quality.

Bluetooth version matters

Bluetooth 5.0 provides a stable connection up to 33 feet with low latency. This is important for video sync. Older Bluetooth versions may drop connections or have audio lag.

Consider the drivers

Dual drivers produce balanced sound across mids and highs. A built-in passive radiator enhances bass without requiring a large enclosure. Look for speakers that list their driver configuration.

Charging and ports

USB-C charging is the modern standard. An aux input is a useful backup for wired connections. Check the battery life if you plan to use it portably.

With the right speaker, your desk or living room will sound great every day.
